Policies

Cancelation/Reservation Change Policy:

Confirmed reservations are subject to a non-refundable $50 cancellation or change fee. 100% of the reservation becomes non-refundable within 14 days of arrival. Reservations made within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable.

Deposit Policy

A non-refundable $50.00 deposit is due at time of reservation. Reservations made within 14 days of arrival are subject to full payment.

Travelers Insurance

To protect your reservation we highly recommend purchasing a TravelGuard policy. Just a hand full of coverage benefits include: emergency medical issues, road closures past 5 hours, lost or delayed baggage, vehicle break down, property damage to unit… and the list goes on. CLICK HERE to see a full list of benefits. Must be added at least 14 days (30 for holiday periods) prior to arrival date. You may call your lodging representative today at 800.967.7500 to purchase travelers insurance.

Smoking Policy

All condos and townhomes are non-smoking, Guest will be charged up to but is not limited to a $200.00 cleaning fee.

Pet Policy

None of our condos are pet friendly at this time, any reports of pets in our condos will result in eviction as well as a fee up to but not limited to $200.00.

Check In Policy

 A Drivers License/ID, Credit Card, and or Season Pass (if applicable discount is applied) are required upon check-in. Lodging Check-in is located in the The Lodge at Kirkwood, bottom lobby floor. Check in time begins at 4:00pm, however is not guaranteed and is dependent on occupancy the night before. Reservations made the same day as arrival are never guaranteed a 4:00pm check-in, the check-in time is dependent on business levels and all cleans are prioritized by date the reservation was made . Early check-in is an option but is never guaranteed and may not be available due to high business levels, extended stays or maintenance needs. Please inquire day of arrival to see if your condo will be available before 4:00pm by calling 209-258-7293.

Checkout Policy

Keys are required to be returned to the front desk upon check out to avoid a $25.00 replacement fee. Condo should be vacated with all lights turned off and doors/ windows closed tightly and locked. Any fees for damages or excessive cleans will be charged to the Credit Card on file. Checkout time is 11:00am. A late checkout is not guaranteed and may be not be available due to business levels or maintenance needs. Please inquire day of departure to see if your condo will be available for a later checkout by calling 209-258-7293.

Parking Policy

Type of parking is dependent on room or condo rented. Not all units come with underground or assigned parking. All Hotel style units are General Parking and the exception will not be made to allow a guest to park underground under any circumstances. Please see below for Snow Emergency Parking, guests will be required to move his/her vehicles in inclement weather. Secondary parking, will also be in the General Parking area and will not be granted any underground parking. Besides the luggage and shuttle service that can be requested at the front desk, Kirkwood will have in-valley shuttles running to and from the General Parking lots during weekends and holidays all winter.

Snow Emergency Policy 

Dependent on amount of snow fall, certain General Parking lots (The Lodge General Parking and Sun Meadows General Parking) are suggested to not be used due to high probability of vehicle burial and or damage from snow fall. Kirkwood suggests for your vehicle’s safety to park in the Middle 7 Lot, in the middle and not on an embankment, across from Timber Creek after unloading the luggage from your vehicle. For the guest’s convenience Kirkwood Lodging offers an on-call shuttle service during business hours to and from the guest’s unit to the parking area as well as to any of the on-site restaurants (including Kirkwood Inn). To schedule a pick up or drop off please call the front desk at 209.258.7293. If there is an urgent need for assistance with retrieving a vehicle after business hours, please call the after-hours security number, 209.676.1151.


FAQ’s

Q: When is the Lodging Office open?
A: Winter Hours- 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. (Sunday-Thursday) Open till midnight on Fridays & Saturdays.

Q: Where do I Check in?
A: Lodging check in for all properties is located in the Village in The Lodge at Kirkwood

Q: How late can I Check In?
A: Any time! If our Front Desk is closed, your late arrival packet will be available for pick up in The Lodge's lobby. Any after hour questions should be directed to 209.210.7244. Registration may be completed the next morning after 8:00 a.m.

Q: Does my unit have towels and sheets?
A: Yes, your unit will be provided with housekeeping upon arrival.

Q: Does my unit have a kitchen?
A: Standard Queen Rooms only have a minifridge, microwave, and coffee maker. All of our larger condos and townhomes have fully equipped kitchens.

Q: Does my unit have wireless? Cable? Phone?
A: Not all units have wireless, no. The following do however offer wifi: The Mountain Club, The Meadows, Snow Crest, The Sentinels, Meadowstone Lodge, a few Sun Meadows condos. Not all units offer Cable and Phones in rooms, all condos do however offer TV/DVD players.

Q: What happens if the Roads Close? And I have not made it yet?
A: We offer travelers insurance that reimburses your loss after 5 hours of the roads being closed on both sides of Kirkwood (Spur and Pass).

Q: Is there Dining available?
A: We do have available dining options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Most restaurants do close their kitchen at 8:00pm. If your arrival is expected to be late, we recommend dining/shopping in Jackson, South Lake, or Carson City prior to arriving at Kirkwood.

Q: Do I get daily housekeeping service?
A: Not unless your reservation is 5 nights or longer.  Daily can however be added to your reservation at an extra cost. Please call our housekeeping team to make arrangements at 209.258.7313.

Q: What can we do for fun when the lifts close?
A: Keep an eye out for events and parties listed on the website and in the Neighborwood. Other wise, both the Kirkwood Inn and The Cornice Grill are open later for food, drink, and socializing.
