AIARE Avalanche Level 1

A 3 day introduction course to avalanche hazard management. Students will develop a good grounding in how to prepare for and carry out a trip, understand basic decision making while in the field, and learn rescue techniques required to find and dig up a buried person.

Dates: Dec 4 - 6, Dec 14 - 16, Jan 8 - 10, Jan 19 - 21, Feb 1 - 3, Feb 8-10, Feb 26 - 28, Mar 1-3, Mar 12 - 14, Mar 22 - 24, Apr 5 - 7, Apr 16 - 18.
