Josh Daiek, member of the Kirkwood Freeride Team, has been invited by Salomon to join their Freeski International Team alongside skiing elites Bobby Brown, Mike Douglas, Mark Abma, and Kim Havell. It’s no wonder after two amazing seasons in which Josh won the North American Freeskiing Championships right here at Kirkwood in 2011, followed by an overall win at the Freeskiing World Tour in 2012.
Born and raised in Michigan, Josh Daiek is best known for his fluid skiing style and talent for big air and big mountain. When he isn’t skiing, you can find him downhill mountain biking, snowmobiling or even further up in the air, BASE jumping or skydiving.
On their Facebook page, Salomon welcomed Josh, saying he “brings serious big mountain skills and massive huck-ability to the team.” They promise to showcase Josh’s huck-abilities in a few upcoming episodes of Salomon Freeski TV.
