Aloha my friends,
As I write this Monday morning I would like to share the stoke I was able to experience in a more than cerebral way in the AM yesterday. I first want to thank Mother Nature for thee combined 8” to 12” of fresh cold smoke powder at 7800’… It was a perfect 28 degrees yesterday morning. There was not a soul at the base of Sentinel bowl yesterday morning. Sakima my trusted companion & I were very surprised & also pumped for the emptiness of a closed resort! No boot pack, not a track, Just 8” to 12” inches of the fresh and Mother Nature continuing to bless us with more as we began our journey up the flats to the base of Sentinel Bowl & the Palisades. Heaven to both Sakima and I to say the least...
After a short 2hrs up with a skin & equipment malfunction we arrived at the top of the Wood. Not a soul in sight, light snow falling all around us with not a sound but the wind in my face… I was ecstatic & so was my friend Sakima. A quick switch over from our accent mode to what we came for POWDER!
Click, Click then we dropped into the fresh, 1 turn, 2 turns, three turns & more… Faces shots & at points bottomless! As we descended all I could hear was the sound of my breathe and my faithful companion charging by my side. Top to bottom in all of 5 minutes! Our day was complete, our souls filled with joy, the sweat for the accent gone and the smiles on Sakima & my face were full…….
Stay Thirsty my friends,
Coop
